Commodore launches Made For U(ltimate) games program for C64 Ultimate

Commodore is marking the first anniversary of its revival by unveiling the Made For U(ltimate) programme, a certification scheme for games designed to exploit the expanded capabilities of the C64 Ultimate console. Approved titles will carry a holographic Made For U(ltimate) label, giving buyers a clear indication that the software uses the hardware’s additional memory, faster processing modes, HDMI output, USB and networking features.

The C64 Ultimate is a modern recreation of the original Commodore 64 that uses FPGA technology to reproduce the classic machine while adding contemporary connections and performance upgrades. While no specific games, developers or release dates have been announced, the initiative signals Commodore’s intent to build a dedicated software catalogue around the enhanced platform.
