CommonSpirit St. Luke's Hospital announces Power of Pink events

CommonSpirit St. Luke's Hospital is hosting the annual “Power of Pink!” luncheon, a breast cancer education and awareness event in Deep East Texas. The luncheons aim to provide women with information regarding signs, symptoms, early detection, and modern treatment options.

The Lufkin event is scheduled for Thursday, October 15, at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center, while the Livingston event will take place on Tuesday, October 20, at the Polk County Commerce Center. Both events begin at 11:30 a.m.

Proceeds from the event support St. Luke’s Hospital and the Temple Cancer Center in providing resources to local cancer patients. This year’s keynote speaker is Sarah E. McDonald, a two-time cancer survivor and author of “The Cancer Channel.”
