Commonwealth Games winners appear on Kaun Banega Crorepati

Athletes from the 2026 Commonwealth Games appeared on the popular Indian quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ Season 18. The special episode featured boxer Lovlina Borgohain, para powerlifter Jhandu Kumar, Sharmila Dhankar, and Asmita Dey.

During the interaction with host Amitabh Bachchan, the athletes reflected on their sporting journeys and the emotions of representing India on a global stage. Lovlina Borgohain, who won a silver medal in the 75 kg boxing category, compared the mental pressure of the show to the adrenaline of an Olympic boxing ring.

Para-athlete Sharmila Dhankar described the invitation as a national celebration of the invisible struggles faced by athletes training away from the spotlight. Jhandu Kumar shared that his international achievements provided a sense of happiness following past hardships.
