Communication industry awards announce winners and juries in Brazil

The Brazilian communication industry is preparing for two major recognition events. The 12th Prêmio Especialistas has announced 108 journalists recognized across 26 coverage areas. Organized by Cecom and Plataforma Negócios da Comunicação, the award highlights specialized journalism. The second phase of voting for category highlights is currently open until September 10, with an awards ceremony scheduled for September 15 in São Paulo.

Separately, the Grupo Empresarial de Comunicação (Gecom) has revealed the jury for the 10th edition of the Jatobá PR Latin American Award for Innovation and Excellence in PR. The jury consists of over 100 professionals from across Brazil and Latin America, covering 42 categories including a special category for FIFA World Cup 2026 communications. To prevent conflicts of interest, the judging process includes strict rules regarding agency size and professional affiliations.
