Communications Regulatory Authority launches student video competition

The Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT) has launched a national video content competition for Lithuanian students titled ‘Švarus internetas’ (Clean Internet). The initiative encourages students to create short, 30–40 second vertical video clips addressing various online threats, including cyberbullying, sexual blackmail, digital footprints, privacy, manipulation, and risks associated with AI-generated imagery.

Participants can work individually or in teams of up to five, coordinated by a teacher. The competition is divided into three age groups: grades 1–4, grades 5–8, and high school students. Winning entries will be used in RRT’s educational activities to promote safer internet practices. The evaluation will consist of 60 percent from a commission and 40 percent from public social media voting. Registration and submission of works are open from September 7 to September 30, with results expected on October 12. Top prizes include values up to 500 euros.
