Communist Party of Vietnam delegation attends ICDPP in Seoul

A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam attended the first Inter-Continental Dialogue among Political Parties (ICDPP) held in Seoul, South Korea, from September 6 to 9. The delegation was led by Tran Thanh Lam, a member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, and included Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Thi Hoang Van.

The conference brought together representatives from 21 political parties, organizations, and networks across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America. Discussions focused on the role of political parties in navigating profound global shifts and the importance of cooperation to promote dialogue, enhance mutual understanding, and address shared international challenges.

During the plenary session, Tran Thanh Lam emphasized that political parties must establish development visions that prioritize the interests and aspirations of their citizens. He suggested that party cooperation can serve as a foundation for international relations, helping to manage differences and prevent conflict. Additionally, he highlighted Vietnam’s 40 years of Doi Moi (Renewal) as a model of maintaining national independence and socialism while proactively engaging in international integration.
