Communist Party of Vietnam updates membership rules and honors veterans

In Vietnam, the Communist Party is conducting various activities related to membership, leadership, and recognition of long-serving members. General Secretary and President Tô Lâm has emphasized the need to elevate theoretical research and practical summaries to ensure policy does not lag behind reality. He also stressed the importance of innovating the Party's leadership methods to strengthen its governing capacity.

In terms of administrative updates, the Secretariat, through Trần Cẩm Tú, issued guidance regarding the conditions for admitting individuals over the age of 60 into the Party.

To mark the 81st anniversary of Vietnam's National Day, the Hanoi Party Committee is awarding Party badges to 20,920 members with 30 or more years of service. Among the recipients is Nguyễn Anh Liên, who was awarded a 70-year Party badge. Having participated in revolutionary activities since the age of 10 during the August Revolution of 1945, his life spans multiple conflicts, including the resistance against French and American forces.
