Communities demand public works and stable electricity
Residents of San Juan de Dios and San Cosme are demanding improved infrastructure and stable utility services. In San Juan de Dios, community leaders expressed dissatisfaction after the locality was excluded from municipal project allocations this year. Residents are calling for priority works, including road repairs and the construction of a soccer field to provide recreational spaces for youth.
Simultaneously, communities are facing significant electrical issues. In San Cosme, residents report frequent blackouts and voltage fluctuations that damage household appliances, leading to economic losses. While the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) is reportedly conducting maintenance, such as tree trimming and replacing poles and lines between kilometer 80 and San Juan de Dios, community representatives are calling for more consistent service to resolve critical failures in the southern part of the municipality.
