Regional housing and social assistance initiatives expand across South America
Various regional initiatives are addressing housing needs and social welfare across South America. In Argentina, several provinces are implementing housing programs: La Pampa has adjudicated 33 homes through the Mi Casa III Plan in Realicó and Parera, while Chaco governor Leandro Zdero oversaw home deliveries in Quitilipi, noting nearly 900 homes under construction. In Catamarca, officials are maintaining construction despite reduced national funding, and in Laguna Blanca, a partnership with IPDUV is facilitating new builds. Additionally, Santa Cruz has launched the Habitar Santa Cruz program with a 60 billion peso investment.
In other sectors, Electrocentro's NUNA volunteer program delivered essential supplies, including blankets and water tanks, to earthquake victims in Peru's Canipaco Valley. In Chile, the Paihuano municipality provided technical aids such as specialized chairs and mattresses to residents with disabilities. Meanwhile, in Paraguay, the developer Ógaite EAS is expanding its operations to increase access to homeownership nationwide.
