Community aid organizations celebrate major anniversaries

Community aid organizations in Germany and Austria are celebrating significant milestones.

In Neufahrn, Germany, the Neufahrner Kleiderkammer is marking ten years of operation. Originally starting as a small clothing collection in a town hall basement to assist refugees and those in need, it has evolved into a social department providing clothing, household goods, and small furniture. The organization currently employs 22 volunteers and will host an open house on October 31.

In Neukirchen bei Altmünster, Austria, the organization ‘Wir helfen’ celebrated its 20th anniversary. The group provides rapid, anonymous, and unbureaucratic assistance to local citizens in crisis. Over the past two decades, the organization has supported numerous families facing illness or bereavement, manages a fleet of hospital beds for free loan, and facilitates participation in extracurricular activities for children through various donation drives.
