Community and nature events scheduled across Italy

Various community and nature-focused events are scheduled in Italy for early September.

The Oasi La Francesa in Fossoli is reopening with several new initiatives managed by the Panda Carpi association. Highlights include the inauguration of the ‘Area del Silenzio’, a space designed for quiet observation and listening to nature. The site will also feature repurposed benches from Piazza Martirie and the first piece of a planned artistic path titled ‘La Matita’. Additionally, the oasis is expanding its wooded area to include a section dedicated to ancient indigenous fruit cultivars.

In Arquata del Tronto, the Auà Fest is set for September 5 and 6. Marking ten years since the earthquake, the festival aims to connect community memory with the local landscape. The program includes walks along the Sentiero per Tutti in Forca di Presta and a guided path through the hamlets of Arquata del Tronto. This second walk will feature podcasts containing local testimonies, photographic displays, and stops dedicated to regional culinary products, concluding with a community celebration in Pretare.
