Community and political events scheduled across Greece

Various community and political events are scheduled to take place in Greece on September 11 and 12.

In New Ionia, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) is organizing a two-day program featuring political discussions, historical tributes, and musical performances. Key sessions include a discussion on socialism led by Elissaios Vagenas and a musical tribute to folk songs. The program also includes a commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Democratic Army of Greece (DSE) with a speech by Makis Papadopoulos. Activities for children, such as interactive book presentations and treasure hunts, are also planned.

In Kefalonia, the 3rd Social Solidarity Festival, titled ‘Life Online and Offline,’ will be held in Argostoli. Organized with a focus on technology and social inclusion, the festival aims to address the relationship between digital life and reality. Deputy Mayor Krystallia Michalato highlighted the importance of safe internet use and protecting children from digital risks. The event includes workshops for children, dance performances, and athletic activities, with an emphasis on the inclusion of people with disabilities and Roma children.
