Community art tours scheduled in Old Ottawa East and Saanich Peninsula

Various community art events are scheduled across Canada, highlighting local talent through outdoor showcases and studio visits.

In Old Ottawa East, the 7th annual A Walk of Art will take place on Saturday, September 19th, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Presented by The Mainstreeter, the event features artists and photographers displaying and selling work in residential front yards and designated pods. The tour's footprint spans from Echo Drive to the Rideau River, including locations at the Main Street Farmers Market.

On the Saanich Peninsula, the ArtSea Community Arts Studio Tour is set for October 3rd and 4th. Now in its 30th year, this free, self-guided event allows the public to visit the workspaces of painters, sculptors, glass artists, photographers, and textile designers. The tour covers a wide area from Central Saanich to North Saanich and is part of the B.C. Culture Days national celebration.
