Community book markets in the Netherlands support local music associations

Various community book and flea markets are being held in the Netherlands to support local music associations and youth education.

In Papendrecht, the music association Excelsior hosted a successful combined flea and indoor book market. The event featured a diverse selection of items, including regional novels, thrillers, children's books, comics, LPs, CDs, and DVDs. Proceeds from the sale are used to fund the association's training, instruments, and concerts.

In Kelpen-Oler, the music association St. Liduina is organizing a large-scale book market scheduled for October 3 and 4, 2026. The event will feature tens of thousands of books and comics across approximately 65 categories, including specialized collections of nostalgia from the 1950s through the 1970s. The proceeds will support youth training, guidance, and music education in local primary schools.
