Children's Day celebrations held across South America

Various municipalities and organizations across Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay are hosting diverse activities to celebrate Children's Day.

In Argentina, festivities include large-scale community events in Trenque Lauquen and Beruti, featuring circuses, inflatables, and local gift giveaways. In San Juan, the Chamber of Commerce has launched the “Queremos juguetes” campaign, offering interest-free installments and discounts to stimulate local commerce despite a reported 6% year-on-year drop in sales. In Ituzaingó, the municipal government is promoting local businesses through a discount campaign on clothing and toys. Additionally, La Costa is organizing a month-long schedule of free events across multiple towns.

In Chile, La Serena is hosting free celebrations in the Plaza de Armas to foster community solidarity following recent weather emergencies, including a collection point for diapers and toys. In Temuco, over a thousand people attended a family event at Parque Pedro de Valdivia organized by the Agrupación Amigos del Parque.

In Uruguay, the Intendencia de Paysandú has begun a series of community celebrations, including games and snacks, at the Parkway Multisocial Hall to strengthen local social ties.
