Community celebrations held in Laren and Loppersum

Various community events took place in the Netherlands on October 24. In Laren, the Buurt- en Speeltuinvereniging Ons Genoegen hosted a nostalgic disco event to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The event featured music from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, serving as a gathering point for local residents and former neighbors.

In Loppersum, Loppersum’s Harmonie held an autumn concert at the Vredekerk titled ‘Een avondje zappen met Loppersum’s Harmonie’. The program included various musical themes ranging from Eurovision to children's favorites. During the concert, the association honored two long-standing members: Jan Vast for 50 years of musicianship and Henk Smit for 70 years of continuous involvement with the organization.
