Community centers celebrate 50 years of service

Two community centers in Germany and Austria are celebrating their 50th anniversaries with various commemorative events.

In Weiterstadt, Germany, the youth center Juze is marking five decades of operation. The anniversary celebration includes an exhibition showcasing the center's history through projects and personal insights. Mayor Niklas Gehnich is scheduled to officially open the exhibition. The event features interactive activities such as a photo booth, games, and a jubilee party with music.

In Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus, Austria, the Haus der Begegnung is celebrating 50 years as a hub for education, culture, and leisure. Since its opening in 1976, the center has hosted a variety of services, including a music school, a library, and a specialized adult education center for the hearing impaired. The anniversary festivities include a street festival and an exhibition of historical photos and memories. The celebration will conclude with an outdoor screening of the film ‘Asterix conquers Rome’.
