Community centers in Bergkamen and Höhr-Grenzhausen launch autumn programs
Various community centers in Germany are launching new autumn programs for diverse age groups.
In Bergkamen, the Jugendkunstschule at Pestalozzihaus is introducing a new curriculum starting in the second week of September. The offerings include drawing, painting, and digital arts, alongside a ‘Safer Space’ for teenagers. Programs range from sensory play for infants to sculpture and etching workshops for adults. The school also conducts mobile activities such as the ‘KunstLaster’ at local festivals and urban sketching.
In Höhr-Grenzhausen, the ‘Zweite Heimat’ youth, culture, and citizen center is expanding its autumn schedule. Activities include B2-level German language courses, sewing, and acrylic painting. Culinary workshops are available for families and men, while health-focused sessions include line dancing, mindfulness, and breathing exercises. Musical and movement options such as handpan instruction, hip-hop, and Qi-Gong are also scheduled.
