Community centers open in Breitenbenden and Bernau am Chiemsee

Several community projects have reached completion in Germany, marked by official openings in Breitenbenden and Bernau am Chiemsee.

In Breitenbenden, a new village community center has officially opened. The project involved significant volunteer labor, particularly regarding the interior design, roofing, and technical installations. Local officials, including Mayor Michael Fingel and former Mayor Dr. Hans-Peter Schick, participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Mayor Bernd Wienand noted the challenging timeline, highlighting that the outdoor facilities were completed in just two weeks to meet the inauguration schedule.

In Bernau am Chiemsee, the Ökumenische Kranken- und Bürgerhilfe Bernau inaugurated a new senior daycare center. The facility was designed to address the needs of the aging population and provide a space to combat loneliness. The project, which originated from ideas discussed as early as 2016, was realized through a combination of municipal support, donations, and community engagement. Chairman Franz Praßberger emphasized that the project is a milestone for the 40-year-old organization.
