Community development projects advance in Villarrica and Puerto Aysén

Various community development projects are underway in Chile. In Villarrica, the municipality is implementing the FONAPI project, funded by the National Disability Service (SENADIS). Running from June to December, the initiative focuses on the mental health and well-being of people with disabilities and their caregivers through workshops in crafts, Tai Chi, group psychology, psychopedagogy, and massage therapy. The program currently has 128 participants and aims to strengthen social support networks.

In Puerto Aysén, construction of the Villas Unidas Community Center in the Villa España neighborhood has reached 42% completion. The project, part of the 'Quiero Mi Barrio' program by the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism, involves an investment exceeding 237 million pesos. Local authorities are working to accelerate construction during favorable weather conditions, with the goal of delivering the facility by December to allow for community holiday activities.
