Community events and cultural activities in Northern Upper Palatinate

The Northern Upper Palatinate region, including areas such as Weiden, Windischeschenbach, Altenstadt an der Waldnaab, and Wernberg-Köblitz, features a variety of upcoming cultural and community events.

In Aulendorf, the St. Vinzenz residential park of the St. Elisabeth Foundation hosted an Oktoberfest celebration on October 10. The event included live music from the Aulendorf fanfare band and the group ‘Ossis’, alongside traditional Bavarian specialties like white sausages and Leberkäse. Approximately 60 residents, family members, and staff participated in the festivities following a harvest thanksgiving service.

Other scheduled regional activities include DEL2 ice hockey matches featuring the Blue Devils Weiden against the Lausitzer Füchse and EV Landshut. Cultural offerings also include the comedy ‘Kalter weißer Mann’ in Weiden, a ‘Dinner mit Killer’ theatrical experience in Altenstadt, and the ‘Special Night before Christmas’ musical performance in Windischeschenbach.
