Community events and volunteer initiatives in Germany

Various community-led activities are taking place across different regions in Germany. In Neuss, the “Grünes Herz” association has announced a series of events for November to engage citizens with the Stadtpark. The schedule includes a winter edition of the “Sundowners am See” on November 26, a photography exhibition by Andreas Woitschützke on October 29, and a literary tour of the park on November 8. Additionally, an information evening on November 12 will focus on volunteer opportunities and the future development of the park's gardens.

In Kaltenbrunn, the “Helfer vor Ort” (HvO) team held an educational session at the St. Martin parish hall. Emergency responders Felix and Sandra Graf provided guidance on first aid, the proper use of defibrillators, and how to handle emergency calls. The session included practical advice on preparing medical documentation for emergencies. The event, which coincided with a local Oktoberfest celebration, concluded with a donation to the HvO group from the Generationencafé team.
