Community events held in Ocumare and Loja

In Ocumare de la Costa de Oro, Venezuela, more than 120 participants took part in the inaugural ‘Ocumare 5K por tu Corazón’ walk. Organized by Luis Lovera to promote physical activity and heart health, the route began at Plaza Bolívar and concluded at the Las Monjas sector, followed by a dance therapy session. Local security and emergency teams provided medical assistance and hydration throughout the event. A second edition is scheduled for October 10.

In Loja, Ecuador, the municipality is hosting ‘Martes de Folklore: Ritmo y Tradición’ at the Teatro Bolívar. The event features five dance groups, including the Ballet Folklórico Municipal Suyay and the Ballet Andino Internacional Amaru, showcasing traditional Andean rhythms and regional dances. Attendees are encouraged to bring pet food donations at the entrance.
