Community events held in Rancagua and Paysandú

In Rancagua, Chile, the Perritón Rancagua 2026 event brought hundreds of families together for a day of recreation and pet welfare. Organized by the Municipality of Rancagua and the Club de Perritos, the activity featured a circuit starting at the Patricio Mekis Sports Complex. Participants engaged in physical activities, supported local pet-related businesses, and accessed services such as microchipping and pet adoptions, resulting in six dogs finding new homes. The event also included a demonstration by trained canine units from Gendarmería de Chile.

In Paysandú, Uruguay, the 'Movidas Ciudadanas' initiative was launched to support Teletón through December. This series of community and sporting activities marks the 20th anniversary of Teletón's work in Uruguay. Since opening its first center in Montevideo in 2006, the institution has provided rehabilitation to more than 5,800 children and adolescents, with over 1,800 receiving annual care.
