Community events held in Waalwijk and Vlijmen

The inaugural Wijnfestijn Waalwijk attracted over 1,000 visitors to the Stadstuin in Waalwijk. Organized by the Rotary Club Waalwijk and Lionsclub Waalwijk, the event featured 14 wine houses, including local Brabant vineyards, alongside live music and food from local partners.

Special guests included wine expert Lieske Vos and chef Jeroen van Oijen. All proceeds from the festival were dedicated to charity.

In Vlijmen, the Zonnebloem organization held its ‘Walk en Roll’ event on August 29. Approximately 80 participants, including those using wheelchairs and walkers, participated in a walk through the area to promote community connection and awareness for the organization.
