Community events in Germany address mental health and resilience

Various community events in Germany are focusing on mental health, coping mechanisms, and psychological resilience.

In Bruchköbel, the second installment of the ‘Herzzeit’ service at Jakobuskirche attracted 96 attendees. Guest speaker Prof. Dr. Martin Grabe, a psychiatrist and director of the Marburg Institute for Religion and Psychotherapy, discussed the relationship between fear and courage. Grabe presented fear as a healthy emotion that serves as a warning mechanism and aids in responsible decision-making.

In Bad Waldsee, journalist and author Tanja Bülter is scheduled to present ‘Learning to Think Positively’ on October 27 as part of the Pinktober 2026 campaign. Drawing from her personal experience with a breast cancer diagnosis in 2020, Bülter will discuss maintaining a positive mindset and inner strength during difficult life situations, focusing on practical ways to manage worry and anxiety.
