Community events in Italy promote social inclusion and digital detox
Various community initiatives in Italy are launching to foster social connection through diverse activities. At the Patronato dei Frari, a series of “Tech Free” evenings will be held for adolescents aged 14 and up. Participants are encouraged to deposit their smartphones at the entrance to engage in offline activities such as ping-pong, chess, card games, and tabletop role-playing games.
To complement these sessions, the parish will host reflection workshops for parents and educators regarding the challenges of artificial intelligence.
In Bernate Ticino, the Canonica will host an inclusive Halloween event on October 31. Organized by the “Noi, la differenza” project, the evening features karaoke, games, and a costume contest. The event aims to break down architectural, sensory, and social barriers, with local youth from the association helping to manage the service. Proceeds from the voluntary entry will support InnovAzione Reciproca.
