Community events promote public education and early childhood in Cambrils
The first edition of the 'Festa per la Pública' was held at Parc Nou, bringing together families, teachers, and leisure monitors from across the region to advocate for the social value of public education. A central round table discussion highlighted the importance of public schools as spaces for social cohesion, noting that baccalaureate studies in the area are currently entirely public. As a symbolic gesture, participants planted pinwheels made by students and families throughout the park.
Additionally, the Early Childhood Network organized a family play afternoon at Parc del Pinaret as part of the third Cambrils Early Childhood Days. The event, which was rescheduled due to previous heavy rain alerts, focused on children aged 0 to 3. Activities included psychomotor spaces, creative workshops led by artist Marta Nolla, and storytelling sessions. Local officials, including Social Welfare Councilor Mar España, attended to support initiatives that provide families with spaces to share experiences and knowledge during early childhood development.
