Community events scheduled in Guatemala and Panama

Guatemala’s Ministry of Culture and Sports will host the ‘Tardes Noches del Vivir Bien’ festival in Puerto Barrios, Izabal, on October 4, 2026. Held at the Central Park from 15:00 to 20:00, the free event features sports, cultural, and recreational activities for families. This initiative serves as a municipal launch for a national model intended to reach all 340 municipalities in Guatemala to promote healthy lifestyles and community coexistence.

In Panama, a solidarity bingo event is scheduled for October 7, 2026, at the Parque Omar Club House to raise funds for the rehabilitation of Hogar María Guadalupe. Supported by the Office of the First Lady and the Panamanian Chamber of Construction (Capac), the proceeds will fund the expansion and improvement of the facility to better serve its young residents. Tickets for the event are priced at B/. 30.00.
