Community fairs and safety courses draw residents in Morelos and Guanajuato

The town of Tlacotepec in Morelos celebrated the 50th edition of its traditional fair, featuring religious, cultural, sporting and artistic activities. Organisers highlighted a new Bread and Gastronomy fair, workshops on bread making and a visit to a local greenhouse, emphasizing community‑driven effort with minimal government involvement.

In Salamanca, Guanajuato, municipal authorities held a summer course titled “Pequeños Héroes en Primeros Auxilios” for children aged 6‑12. The program taught basic first‑aid skills, emergency‑call procedures, kit preparation and online‑safety measures, and included a “Day as Police Kids” activity to familiarize participants with public‑security work.

Both events aim to strengthen local culture, tourism and public safety through citizen participation.
