Community figures pass away in Italy

Several notable community figures in Italy have passed away recently.

Federico Cartuccia, aged 45, died in Polverigi. He was a worker in the industrial refrigeration sector and a founder of the associations ‘Aranciò’ and ‘In Itinere’. His community work included fundraising for the Carletti Park to provide inclusive playground equipment.

Painter Giuliano Della Casa has died at the age of 84 following a sudden illness while on vacation in Puglia. Known for his work in ceramics, illustrations, and avant-garde painting, he was a prominent figure in the Modena art scene.

Don Angelo Lai, the parish priest of Santa Maria Maggiore in Pieve di Cento, died suddenly at age 72. He had served the community for nearly a decade and previously held various ministerial roles across the Archdiocese of Bologna.
