Community food events held in Toronto and Vancouver Island

King’s Hawaiian is hosting ‘Canada’s Longest Friendsgiving Table’ at The Bentway in Toronto on October 8. The event features a continuous table spanning approximately the length of a football field, where hundreds of guests can enjoy a free three-course meal prepared by The Food Dudes. Registration for the event is required via Eventbrite.

In British Columbia, the inaugural ‘Harvest Table’ event took place on September 26 at Keating Farm in the Cowichan Valley. Organized by Food Day Canada and Keating Farm, the gathering brought together over 500 people, including farmers, chefs, fishers, and culinary students, to celebrate Vancouver Island’s food system and local producers.
