Community foundations launch social support programs in Argentina and Mexico

In Formosa, Argentina, the Fundación para la Asistencia Solidaria (FAS) distributed chicks and balanced feed to nearly 150 families across eight community centers in Jurisdiction Five. Under the ‘Urban Poultry Program,’ the initiative aims to support household economies during the current economic crisis by allowing families to maintain their own poultry and egg production. FAS President Blanca Denis noted that the program is sustained through provincial state policies and intends to expand to additional community centers.

In Matamoros, Mexico, the Fundación Manos de Amor conducted a motivational session at the Centro de Ejecución de Sanciones (CEDES). Led by representative Norman Said Campos Hernández, the organization provided talks and group dynamics designed to promote emotional well-being, personal values, and social reintegration for inmates. The activities were held in coordination with CEDES authorities to encourage civil society involvement in prisoner reintegration processes.
