Community Halloween runs held in Kent and Carmel

Local communities celebrated Halloween with themed running events in Kent, Connecticut, and Carmel, Indiana.

In Kent, nearly 500 participants gathered for the 50th Anniversary Kent Pumpkin Run. Organized by the Kent Chamber of Commerce, the event featured a 5-mile loop and a children’s fun run. Participants wore various costumes, including characters like the Lorax and the Great Pumpkin. William Sanders won the men’s division with a time of 25:44, while Hayley Collins led the women’s division in 29:22. Medals for the event were designed by musician Rob Zombie, and staff T-shirts were designed by Seth MacFarlane.

In Carmel, the Ghosts and Goblins 1 Mile/5K Run/Walk took place at Carmel High School. The event brought the community together to support Carmel Clay Schools through student scholarships, teacher grants, and educational programs. The festivities included music, refreshments, and costume prizes.
