Community health fairs in Argentine towns promote prostate cancer awareness and free screenings

In Justo Daract, local health officials organized a "Jornada Saludable" on World Prostate Cancer Day, featuring a walking race, bicycle ride, counseling booths, testing stations and an artistic show. The event aimed to raise awareness of prostate cancer prevention and encourage regular check‑ups among adult men.

In another Argentine city, the Institute of Higher Studies San Martín de Porres hosted a health‑promotion day in Plaza Libertad to mark its 75th anniversary. Mayor Norma Fuentes attended as volunteers offered free mammograms, blood‑glucose checks, blood‑type testing, flu and hepatitis vaccinations, blood‑donation demonstrations and other community health services.

Both fairs attracted broad community participation, linking local residents with health providers and emphasizing preventative care through free screenings and educational activities.
