Community health initiative supports residents in Cambodia
A community health initiative was held at Northern Samraong Primary School in the Prek Pnov district to support vulnerable populations. The program provided medical services to approximately 2,000 people, including ethnic Vietnamese residents and local Cambodians facing difficult circumstances.
The medical team consisted of 175 doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare volunteers from both Vietnam and Cambodia. Services included medical examinations, health consultations, ultrasounds, basic testing, and free medicine distribution. Additionally, organizers provided over 1,000 pairs of reading glasses, essential goods, and cash assistance to participants.
Vietnam Ambassador to Cambodia, Nguyễn Minh Vũ, attended the opening ceremony. He noted that the activity, themed ‘Joining hands for community health - Strengthening Vietnam-Cambodia friendship and solidarity,’ serves to improve lives while reinforcing the traditional friendship between the two nations. The event was supported by the Vietnam Chamber of Business Associations (VCBA), local authorities in Phnom Penh, and various corporate sponsors.
