Community health initiatives gain momentum in Guise and Maimbeville

In Guise, the association Les Ambassadeurs de l’Utopie has received the Parcours du cœur Hauts-de-France trophy in the “Innovation” category for the second consecutive year. The award recognizes a 24-hour relay event held in May that mobilized over 300 participants and recorded nearly two million steps via the StepUp application.

The event featured various community partners, including the Guise hospital, which provided blood pressure checks, and local firefighters who demonstrated life-saving techniques. The initiative aims to promote cardiovascular health and encourage regular physical activity.

In Maimbeville, the municipality is launching its first “Pink Walk” for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Organized by Mayor Guillaume Vannier, the 5 km solidarity hike will take place on October 18. All proceeds from participant donations and sales will be donated to the Ligue contre le cancer.
