Community health outreach assists elders in Guatemala and women in Venezuela

Medical students from the Centro Universitario de Occidente in Quetzaltenago, Guatemala, organised a social‑service day at a local nursing home. About 20 first‑year medicine students distributed essential supplies such as food staples and hygiene products, and delivered a talk on personal hygiene for the residents.

In the Sierra Falconiana of Venezuela, the "Dios me hizo mujer" programme carried out a health‑screening operation in Curimagua, Petit municipality. The initiative offered general medical consultations, blood‑pressure checks, nutritional assessments and health‑education talks for women, including community workers and school staff, supported by local authorities and health officials.
