Community initiatives focus on safety and environment in Łowicz region

Various community-led activities have taken place in the Łowicz region of Poland, focusing on environmental preservation and public safety. Volunteers, including youth and members of the ‘Łączy nas Łowicz’ Association, participated in the second Great Cleaning of Łowicz Forests. This recent effort took place in Dąbkowice, where participants collected waste from forests and roadsides. Previous cleaning actions were also conducted in Zielkowice.

In addition to environmental efforts, safety training has been a priority. In Ląd, the local Country Housewives' Club (KGW) organized self-defense workshops led by Deputy Commissioner Dariusz Nowicki. These sessions, funded by the National Institute of Freedom, aimed to enhance community resilience and personal security.

Furthermore, free first aid workshops were held at the District Starosty building in Łowicz. Led by specialists from Bhp-Lelon, the training provided practical skills such as CPR techniques and the use of automated external defibrillators (AED). Additional sessions are scheduled for early November to provide further opportunities for residents to learn life-saving skills.
