Community initiatives held in Dominican Republic

The National Baseball Commissioner's office organized activities for the children of its employees in the Dominican Republic. The program included visits to the New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks academies to demonstrate how professional baseball prospect systems operate. Before the academy visits, the children toured the National Palace to view the offices of President Luis Abinader and Vice President Raquel Peña.

In Sosúa, the Lions Club organized a community event to benefit over 1,000 students. Led by president Michel Brukirer and Mayor Wilfredo Olivences, the initiative distributed backpacks and complete school supply kits to children from low-income families to assist with the start of the school year.
