Community initiatives in Brindisi and Brescia focus on parenting and learning disorders
Various community initiatives are taking place in Italy to address social and educational themes. In Brindisi, the administration is presenting the report ‘Genitori non si nasce’ (One is not born a parent) on October 2. The volume compiles experiences from workshops held in peripheral neighborhoods such as Sant’Elia, Bozzano, Perrino, and Paradiso, focusing on family dynamics, emotions, and the needs of children and adolescents.
In Brescia, the Italian Dyslexia Association (AID) is organizing ‘Pagine di Vita’ (Pages of Life) on October 3 at the Caleidoscopio Bookstore. Utilizing a ‘Living Library’ format, the event features individuals—including parents, students, tutors, and professionals—who will share personal testimonies regarding Specific Learning Disorders (DSA) to prepare for the 2026 National Dyslexia Week.
