Community initiatives in France launch to support caregivers

Various community initiatives in France are being organized to support caregivers and those receiving care. In Froissy, the ADMR organization is hosting a ‘tea dance’ on October 6 at the local village hall. This event, part of the ‘Bulle d’air’ service, aims to provide a moment of respite and social connection for caregivers and their loved ones. Local service providers will be present to offer information on available support systems.

In Pacy-sur-Eure, Mutualité Française Normandie is addressing caregiver health through a forum theater event on September 22, followed by workshops in October. The program, titled ‘Aidants, votre santé, parlons-en !’, focuses on the physical and mental challenges faced by those assisting elderly parents, sick spouses, or children with disabilities. The initiative aims to facilitate discussions on managing fatigue, isolation, and health issues through shared experiences and professional resources.
