Community initiatives launch in Rieti and Viterbo

In Rieti, the UNICEF Provincial Committee and the Arma dei Carabinieri have extended their “Un ulivo per vederli crescere” campaign. Through October 30, 2026, supporters can purchase olive saplings online to fundraise for vulnerable children facing humanitarian crises. Once purchased, the saplings can be collected at any of the 34 Carabinieri stations within the Rieti province.

In Viterbo, the municipal government has renewed its support for the “Nati per Leggere” project. In collaboration with NPL Viterbo volunteers and the Centro per la Salute del Bambino Onlus, the initiative aims to promote shared reading from early childhood. Scheduled for October and November, the program includes distributing books and informative materials to newborns and hosting library meetings to encourage literacy and community engagement.
