Community initiatives launched in Subotica and Montenegro
In Serbia, the organization IT Subotica 2030 has launched the second cycle of its ‘Male komšijske akcije’ (Small Neighborhood Actions) program. Following a successful first phase, the initiative seeks to support five local civic actions with up to 120,000 dinars per project. The program encourages residents, informal groups, and local associations to submit ideas for urban improvements, such as planting greenery, renovating parks and playgrounds, creating murals, or establishing community gathering spaces.
In Montenegro, the Mentorium Foundation has initiated the second phase of its ‘Dostojanstven osmijeh’ (Dignified Smile) project. This humanitarian campaign aims to raise funds to provide dental prostheses for elderly residents in nursing homes located in Podgorica, Nikšić, Pljevlja, Bijelo Polje, and Risno. The project seeks donations from companies and individuals to improve the nutrition, communication, and quality of life for seniors who cannot afford these medical necessities.
