Community initiatives launched in the Netherlands

Various community initiatives are being organized in the Netherlands to support local residents and seniors.

The Poortkerk naar Buiten committee, in collaboration with Stichting Present, is organizing a ‘Morgen voor de ander’ event on Saturday, September 26. The initiative seeks volunteers to assist individuals in the city and surrounding areas who are unable to perform household repairs or maintenance due to their circumstances. Volunteers can also opt for social projects.

In Zeist, MeanderOmnium is launching ‘Vitamine V’, a series of seven meetings starting Thursday, September 24, at the Wijkservicepunt Het Buurtkwartier. Designed specifically for seniors, the program focuses on the theme of friendship through discussions, practical exercises, and social interaction. The project stems from the European ‘Friend’ initiative.
