Community initiatives promote charity and sustainability in Italy

Various community-driven sustainability and charity initiatives are taking place in Italy. In Budrione, Carpi, the cultural association Punto Dritto is organizing a creative sewing event on October 15. Participants will gather at the Canonica di Budrione to create small handmade items intended for donation to the Carpi Cat Shelter (Gattile di Carpi) to support fundraising efforts for animals.

In Ispra, a Repair Café event is scheduled for October 11 at La Stazione. Organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Ispra and the European School of Varese, the initiative encourages citizens to repair household items, toys, electronics, and clothing rather than discarding them. The event will also feature a clothes swap for adults and children to promote garment longevity and community interaction.
