Community initiatives promote inclusion and aid in Ponferrada and Pilar

In Ponferrada, Spain, the CIMA Integra service will return from September 1 to 6 at Parque del Temple to support children with disabilities during local festivities. The initiative, a collaboration involving the Municipal Volunteer Office and social welfare departments, provides trained volunteers to offer guidance and accompaniment during workshops. Additionally, the festivities will include a daily “quiet hour” from 19:00 to 20:00 to accommodate individuals with auditory hypersensitivity.

In the Pilar district of Argentina, the “Voluntarios en Acción” campaign organized a community event to distribute food, hygiene products, and essential items to vulnerable families. The initiative brought together various local political and social groups, including Espacio Popular en el Frente Grande, Radicales para la Victoria, and Jubilados al Frente, to coordinate logistics and territorial support. The campaign aims to strengthen mutual aid networks and continues to seek volunteers to support residents in critical social situations.
