Various local initiatives in Italy are focusing on social inclusion, spirituality, and nature through community-driven projects.

In Padua, the “Strada del saluto” (Greeting Path) celebrated its first anniversary. This pedestrian and cycling route connects the parishes of San Bellino, San Filippo Neri, and Santissima Trinità in the Arcella district. Designed to foster social interaction and integration, the path features multilingual signage and encourages residents to engage with local greenery.

In Fano, Anffas Fano is launching the “A caval donato … la relazione che cura” project. Supported by crowdfunding from the Fondazione Carifano, the initiative offers assisted animal interventions and free equestrian re-education for individuals with disabilities. The project aims to improve concentration and autonomy through therapeutic horse activities.

Additionally, the Municipality of Viterbo, in collaboration with ASD Il Giardino di Filippo, has introduced the “In cammino con gli animali sulle orme di San Francesco” project. Running from October 26 to November 1, the initiative involves five young people participating in sports and therapeutic activities with animals. The journey follows the footsteps of Saint Francis from La Verna to Assisi, combining spirituality, nature, and personal growth.
