Community institutions in Germany host open house events

Various community institutions in Germany recently hosted open house events to foster local engagement and transparency.

In Mosbach, the Jugendhaus held an open day on September 25 as part of the nationwide Day of Open Youth Work (OKJA). The event featured activities such as a bouncy castle, racing simulators, karaoke, and football tennis to engage children and adolescents. Local politicians and supporters also attended to observe recent facility updates and strengthen community ties.

In Schwandorf, the Turkish-Islamic Community organized an open mosque day to provide insights into Muslim community life. The mosque, which has served the community since 1987 and currently has over 250 members, offered guided tours of its prayer rooms and explained religious practices, such as prayer times and the direction of prayer toward Mecca. The event aimed to promote exchange and introduce residents to the community's religious and social functions.
