Community leaders elected to head regional federations in Guaviare and Cauca

Federico Ortiz has been re-elected as president of the Departmental Federation of Communal Action of Guaviare. The election involved 40 delegates from five municipal associations across San José del Guaviare, El Retorno, and Calamar. The process was overseen by the Defensoría del Pueblo to ensure transparency. Other newly elected officials include Vice President Wilmar Mora, Treasurer Harold Sánchez, and Secretary Loren Mary.

In a separate regional development, Maribel Guejia Ocampo has been elected president of the Federation of Communal Action Boards of Cauca. A community leader from Santander de Quilichao, Guejia previously led the Asocomunal Quilichao association. Her new role involves representing communal organizations throughout the Cauca department and coordinating municipal priorities.
